Students are welcome to try any class, from beginner to advanced. Just be sure to listen to your body and mind. In any class, focus on your breath, drink lots of water, and be fully present in every posture - Namaste.
A slow-paced hatha yoga class for newcomers to yoga or for students looking for a slower paced class with focus on relaxational breathing. Asana (classic postures) will be taught, but various options will be demonstrated for students who have pain or injuries or physical limitations. This is a safe and welcoming class for seniors, pregnant women, practitioners recovering from injury, students who have not been physically active recently or anyone who needs to escape the world for an hour.
Hatha yoga classes are open to all levels and will strengthen stretch, tone and relax your entire body. Hatha yoga is “breath in motion” You will learn many classical asana (postures), as well as some pranayama (breathing exercises) that revitalize the body physically and mentally. It is an uplifting practice that increases muscle tone, improves flexibility and concentration, detoxifies the vital organs and allows you to relax deeply.
This class stimulates the body through an active series of poses and then releases the body into full relaxation through restorative poses and a guided meditation to allow the body to fully surrender into a deep state of calm before sleep.
Roll & Restore Yin
A class to explore the body and movement. Yoga Tune Up® balls will be used to find the blind spots in the body to release tension. Yin yoga will mobilize and stretch muscles to enhance movement. Come to recover from injury, enhance performance, or to unwind restrictions in the body.
Warm AROMA Yin
This class combines restorative asanas with the application of specific essential oils to help cultivate an open heart and a quiet mind. Each class is designed to activate and balance a specific chakra. You will leave each class feeling energized and renewed.
Designed to raise complete body awareness to prepare the body, nervous system, and mind to handle the energy of Kundalini rising. The majority of the physical postures focus on navel activity, activity of the spine, and selective pressurization of body points and meridians. Breath work and the application of bandhas (3 yogic locks) aid to release, direct and control the flow of Kundalini energy from the lower centers to the higher energetic centers. Along with the many kriyas, meditations and practices of Kundalini Yoga, a simple breathing technique of alternate nostril breathing (left nostril, right nostril) is taught as a method to cleanse the nadis, or subtle channels and pathways, to help awaken Kundalini energy
Hatha Flow Yoga
In this class you will practise classical Hatha Yoga, but at a slightly quicker pace. Postures will “flow” smoothly from one into another in order to stretch and strengthen the muscles and create a more cardio-vascularly challenging workout.
Yin Yoga has the same goals and objectives as any other school of yoga; however, it directs the stimulation normally created in the asana portion of the practice deeper than the superficial or muscular tissues .Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice.
Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.
(Beginner OR Regular) Hot Yoga
In these classes the temperature of the studio will be raised to 90 degrees. Similar to Hatha Yoga Flow, be prepared to work hard and sweat! Please bring a towel and water.
Power yoga is based on the Ashtanga Style and focuses on strengthening postures and variations on the traditional Sun Salutations.
Hot Power Yoga
Hot Power Yoga is our most challenging class that will take you through a series of focused progressive postures to promote a cleansing of sweat, reshaping of muscles, and increase strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. The heat makes it possible to stretch tendons and muscles easier and to help prevent injury or over-strain. The posture exercises systematically move fresh, oxygenated blood to one hundred percent of your body, to each organ and fibber, restoring all systems to healthy working order. It promotes proper weight, muscle tone, vibrant good health, and a sense of well-being..
